Content

Text and images have been provided voluntarily by members of the community through their work on the site, or through work on a community event. Some of the content has been collected from open-source content providers, and the source is quoted wherever the usage license requires this.

Design and programming

The site was designed and programmed for WordPress Switzerland by Mark Howells-Mead (Say Hello GmbH / Permanent Tourist) using a custom open-source WordPress Theme as a basis for development. The content is managed in multiple languages using the Polylang Pro and Loco Translate plugins, and is translated manually by community volunteers.

Hosting

The site is hosted on servers at Cyon GmbH in Basel, Switzerland. The hosting and the domain are sponsored by Silvan Hagen.

Cookies and data privacy

This site only collects anonymous statistical data from visits to the site, in order to maintain and improve the experience for site visitors. No cookies are set by the site, and all data collected is retained in Switzerland and permanently anonymised. No data from the site is shared with anyone except the site administrators.

Some content on this site (e.g. videos, images, etc.) are embedded from other websites like YouTube. Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if you’d visited the other website. These third-party websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. The administrators of this site never receive any of that information.
