WordPress meetup Bern

Meetups

Regular meetup events take place all over Switzerland (and, in fact, all over the world). Events are free of charge and run by localised groups, who meet on regular occasions to talk about everything to do with WordPress: from how to get started, how to manage the content of your site, or how to solve a technical problem. We’re a diverse, friendly and welcoming community, and everyone – with any level of knowledge – is welcome to join us.

Events usually take place in the language of the local area, but many organisers are happy to help and make you feel welcome in German, English or French. Some groups returned to in-person events in 2022, whilst others continue to organise online events using free tools like Zoom. The groups all use the services of Meetup.com to organise events, so create a free account there and join your local group.

Zurich

Created and started by Noel Tock and managed by several local WordPress enthusiasts, this group brings together various WordPress people of all skill levels in Zurich. So if you’re just starting out or developing really cool stuff with WordPress, join us! First and foremost, we want to have regular and fun meetups!

WordPress Meetup Bern was founded in April 2014 by Ulrich Pogson. We’ve had a meetup nearly every month since then. We’re a group of local WordPress developers, designers, and publishers who get together to share our knowledge and experience, and to meet other WordPress users in the area. The WordPress Meetup is open to all who love WordPress — join us!

Geneva

We’ve built a WordPress community in Geneva and the area, where people can bring their projects, questions, share their expertise, and make connections. We have co-working meetups, new user workshops, and show-and-tell events where you can show off your projects. (And we are open to suggestions about other types of events!) Both French and English speakers are welcome! WordPress knows no borders 🙂

Online developer meetup

This special meetup group was founded in spring 2022, with the specific aim of detailed technical discussion for experienced developers. The meetup is a collaboration between WordPress Schaffhausen and WordPress Bern, both of whom publish details of the collaborative online events. The events usually take place in German.
